Selection of independent members of the Management Board of the Agency for Transport Excellence
Master Class Lithuania in cooperation with the Transport Competence Agency announces the recruitment of an independent board member.
The Agency for Transport Excellence is a public body established by the State and owned by the State. The Ministry of Transport and Communications of the Republic of Lithuania is the institution exercising the rights and duties of the owner of the institution.
2019 In order to create a professional, innovative and business-oriented aviation oversight system, the Civil Aviation Administration was reorganised in 2019 and its functions were transferred to the Lithuanian Transport Safety Administration and the Transport Competence Agency (until 2019, the Road and Transport Research Institute).
As of 2019, the activities of the Public Enterprise Transport Competence Agency cover the following areas: licensing and supervision of specialists; supervision, accreditation and licensing of aviation operators; road safety inspections, level setting and management; monitoring and analysis of traffic accidents and crash sites.
The objective of the Transport Competence Agency is to contribute to the creation and development of a Lithuanian transport system that meets the public interest, ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety and security.
