AB “Kelių priežiūra” announces the recruitment of a Director General
AB Kelių priežiūra is a state-owned company whose main purpose is to maintain and manage 21,000 kilometres of roads of national significance (trunk, national and regional roads) and to carry out other profitable commercial activities in line with the expectations of the state.
The Ministry of Transport and Communications of the Republic of Lithuania shall exercise the rights and obligations of the sole shareholder of AB Kelių priežiūra.
AB Road Maintenance ‘s vision is to be the most efficient in road maintenance. The company employs over 2,300 specialists in various areas of road maintenance. They aim to ensure road safety and to organise road maintenance consistently across the entire Lithuanian road network. The company conducts its activities in accordance with the highest standards of transparency, ethics and social responsibility, and implements modern technologies.

The Company is recruiting for the position of GENERAL DIRECTOR .
Requirements for applicants
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS (mandatory)
- University degree;
- At least five (5) years’ and not more than ten (10) years’ experience as a company manager or as a senior manager in a medium-sized or large enterprise or in an internationally active company or group of companies;
Will be considered an advantage (valued)
- Knowledge of the specifics of the industry in which AB “Road Maintenance” operates and of the national rules and legal regulations of the country;
- Having a realistic vision for improving the quality and efficiency of public road maintenance services over the next few years;
- Knowledge of strategic national and regional transport sector objectives and regulatory principles;
- Experience of international cooperation or participation in international business development projects;
VALUE REQUIREMENTS (mandatory)
- Must be of impeccable repute;
- Must be free from any relationship with other natural or legal persons which, in the performance of his/her duties, could give rise to a conflict of interest; Ability to handle State secrets;
- The right to hold the office applied for or to perform the functions assigned to that office must not be withdrawn or restricted;
- The candidate must not have been removed from a single-person or collegiate body of a legal person for misconduct within the last 5 years.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (assessed)
- Experience in corporate strategy formulation, implementation and sustainable value creation
- Inspirational and motivational leadership, with the ability to attract, develop and retain talent, both at senior management level and across the organisation
- Effective management, development and shift preparation of the management team
- Flexibility, team spirit and ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders
- Experience in company operations, finance (knowledge of financial indicators) and risk management
- Experience in developing, organising, improving and transforming an organisation’s culture and managing change through the application of advanced management practices and corporate values
- Communicative and able to present information in a way that is tailored to the audience
- Critical thinking, foresight, ability to make timely decisions and overcome them
- Experience in managing large-scale infrastructure and investment projects
- Experience in digitisation, innovation, operational efficiency solutions and deployment
- Experience of working with a company’s board of directors, practical knowledge of corporate governance, knowledge of governance principles
- Very good Lithuanian and English language skills (written and oral);
