Last week, the annual meeting of the international executive search network AGILIUM WORLDWIDE took place in Marrakech, with representatives from Master Class Lietuva among the participants. Partners from different countries shared insights into executive recruitment in their respective markets. While market conditions vary, the challenges are surprisingly similar.
AI Doesn’t Always Help – Sometimes It Gets in the Way
One of the main topics of discussion was the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) on executive recruitment. This time, the focus was less on the opportunities AI creates and more on the challenges it presents.
Increasingly, candidates are using AI to complete personality and cognitive ability assessments. This makes the results unreliable and, in some cases, unrealistically “perfect.” Such results benefit neither employers nor candidates. As a result, candidates are increasingly being invited to complete assessments in person at the office.
Another emerging trend is candidates consulting AI about salary expectations. Unfortunately, the answers they receive are often far removed from actual market conditions. Unrealistic salary expectations can reduce candidates’ chances of successfully changing jobs and may even cause employers to withdraw from the recruitment process.
Executive Search Is Increasingly Crossing Borders
In many markets, the search for experienced executives is no longer limited to a single country. Over the past year alone, Master Class Lietuva has helped its clients recruit more than 10 executives outside Lithuania, including in Poland, Germany and France.
“As executive search becomes increasingly international, having a global partner network is no longer simply an advantage – it is a necessity. Sharing local market knowledge and expertise enables us to offer our clients access to a broader pool of candidates,” says Laura Duksaitė-Iškauskienė, CEO of Master Class Lietuva .
Master Class Lietuva is a member of the international executive search network AGILIUM WORLDWIDE. The network’s annual partner meetings provide an opportunity to discuss emerging recruitment trends, exchange practical experience and strengthen international cooperation.
