Master Class Lietuva launches the search for the Director of „Vilniaus apšvietimas“
Vilniaus apšvietimas is a company responsible for the operation, modernization, and development of the city’s public lighting network. The company ensures that the city is illuminated safely and efficiently, implements new infrastructure projects, and contributes to urban aesthetics and sustainability solutions.

Vilniaus apšvietimas is a Vilnius city infrastructure company responsible for the operation, modernization, and development of the city’s public lighting network. The company ensures that the city is illuminated safely and efficiently, implements new infrastructure projects, and contributes to urban aesthetics and sustainability solutions.
The company’s mission is to create a brighter, safer, and more sustainable city. Its primary objective is to create sustainable value for the city, its residents, and the shareholder.
From 2026, Vilniaus apšvietimas becomes part of the Miesto gijos group — a strategic initiative by the Vilnius City Municipality aimed at combining energy and infrastructure competencies, improving project planning efficiency, and reducing duplication of activities.
The group model will allow companies to operate in a coordinated manner, implement projects faster, and create greater value for the city while maintaining the independence of each company.
This stage marks not only a structural transformation, but also a clear expectation: to improve operational efficiency, strengthen cooperation with city institutions, and ensure even higher infrastructure quality standards in Vilnius.
As the company becomes an integrated part of the city infrastructure group, we are seeking a Director who will ensure smooth operational performance, operate effectively on both strategic and operational levels, confidently manage organizational change, focus on efficiency, process and cost optimization, and work successfully within a complex organizational structure while closely cooperating with the Board, the municipality, and other key stakeholders.
General Mandatory Requirements
- University degree in management, engineering, economics, or a related field;
- At least 5 years of management experience in a senior executive or department leadership role within a company, group of companies, or institution.
Advantages (Evaluated)
- Experience in infrastructure, construction, energy, utilities, or similar sectors;
- Experience in strategic planning, financial management, and operational process optimization;
- Ability to manage large-scale projects and operational processes;
- Strong leadership, change management, and decision-making competencies;
- Stakeholder management experience, including cooperation with institutions, boards, and partners;
- Knowledge and practical application of corporate governance principles;
- Understanding of public procurement principles.

Recruitment Process
The Board of Vilniaus apšvietimas has engaged executive search firm Master Class Lietuva to conduct the selection process.
