Job Market 2027: What Can We Expect Next Year?

2026-10-23

2027 hasn't arrived yet, but employers already have their homework to do.

For several years in a row, we have been bringing the business community together to discuss the latest developments in the job market and employment law. This year, together with NOOR, we turned our attention to 2027: what will change, what should businesses prepare for, and what do today’s trends tell us about tomorrow’s job market?

The key topics of this year’s conference were:

📍 Executive recruitment is crossing Lithuania’s borders. Our shareholders are increasingly looking to hire executives in Poland, Germany, France and the UK. This year alone, at Master Class Lietuva, we have helped our clients attract more than 10 executives based outside Lithuania to work for their businesses.

📍 The EU Pay Transparency Directive is not just about new disclosure requirements. It also creates a real need to establish clear job classifications, monitor pay gaps and objectively justify differences in remuneration. Thank you, Artūras Tukleris!

📍 Employment disputes are becoming more frequent and increasingly complex. Even a seemingly minor disagreement can have financial and reputational consequences. That’s why it’s important to assess potential risks before a conflict escalates to the Labour Disputes Commission or the courts. Thank you, Inga Pališkienė!

📍 Who will make up tomorrow’s workforce – will we develop talent, attract it from abroad, or bring it back home? There is no single answer to the talent shortage. While the country’s migration policy continues to lack clarity, businesses are taking matters into their own hands by developing the talent they need.

A big thank you to our panel discussion participants – Marius Rindinas, Artūras Anisimenka, Elinga Šukienė and Adomas Klimantas, PhD – and to everyone who joined us!

We’re delighted to continue this tradition of coming together not only to share knowledge, but also to have meaningful conversations about the issues that truly matter to businesses and keep their leaders up at night.
